The issues facing our District are ultimately rooted to a large measure in poor budgeting. As a CPA, I will work
tirelessly to balance our state budget and bring back to Lake County, our fair share. With a balanced budget and
an equitable distribution of resources, we can solve the problems which face our district.
Property taxes in Lake County are some of the highest in the state. The current rates impose an unfair burden on families
in our district. As State Representative, I will fight to make the changes needed to enable lower property taxes.
The condition of the roads in Lake County stunts business investment, wastes energy and consumes our time as we sit in traffic. With
a fair amount of resources coming back from Springfield, we can have much needed road improvements.
Our children deserve the best we can offer. It is profoundly unfair to shortchange their education because of the failure of some
of our elected officials to make sound decisions. This must end.
